Sigma Xi Nominations


The Texas A&M University Chapter of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society, has issued a call for nominations for the Distinguished Scientist Award and Outstanding Science Communicator Award for 2013.

Nominations should include a nomination letter, curriculum vitae, and letters of support. Recipients will be awarded a plaque and a $750 cash prize at the Sigma Xi Induction and Awards Banquet in May 2013.

The recipient of the Distinguished Scientist Award will present the 2013 Distinguished Scientist Lecture, hosted by Sigma Xi. For a nominee to be competitive, they should have credentials equivalent to those of previous recipients.

Membership in Sigma Xi is not required for nominators or nominees. See for information on the awards and to see previous winners.
